The Society Screening Series Presents: Two Days in April (in Toronto)

Every boy who has ever played football, from Pop Warner to high school, or in the backyard with their buddies, dreams of being the star player who leads their team to Super Bowl victory. Very few are lucky enough to have the talent to even compete at the college level, let alone make it to the pros. However, for a select few, their dreams have the chance to come true over two days in April at the NFL draft.
Each year, the NFL has football fans and players alike, holding their collective breath to see who out of the thousands of eligible college players, will be the lucky 255 to have the opportunity to play?
With unprecedented access, TWO DAYS IN APRIL reveals the never-before-seen side of what it takes to make it to the top. More than a sports movie, TWO DAYS IN APRIL chronicles the human spirit of commitment in the face of huge odds and enormous competition. It’s about hope, dedication, success and disappointment.
Canadian football star Jesse Lumsden will be joining The Society to share his experience and football career with both the NFL and CFL.  Jesse returned to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats after being released by the Washington Redskins in 2006. The former McMaster University star was twice named CFL Offensive and Canadian Player of the Week and also earned a nod as CFL Canadian Player of the Month. Lumsden also earned his first nomination for the Most Outstanding
Canadian award.
